Paradise of the Titans' 'Mermaid' EP might remind you of Ladyhawke (if she was sucked into Stranger Things). A dreamy fuzz of tinkley keys underlay songwriter Alice's reversed vocals - which multiply in intricate harmonies to form supernatural languages and mythological tales. Keyboard player Sarah brings a deep catchy buzz of minimalist synth to the otherworldly themes, which range from magic Walkmans, shamanic spells, alien kisses, and a romance between a Mermaid and a Sun God. It’s like listening to 80’s synth-pop under a glittery lagoon.
